Video duration: 44 seconds Piko BR80 brand new out of the box being checked. No running in or lubrication - literally 2 minutes after unpacking. Piko BR80 load testing - on the flat Posted by: whatlep
Video duration: 37 seconds Piko BR80 being used outdoors for the first time. Run-in for 2 hours indoors. No problem hauling 7 vehicles, but jerks over the points. Pretty much the same results as an LGB Stainz for haulage, but not as good over the points. Piko BR80 chipped - now runs smoothly through pointwork Posted by: whatlep
Video duration: 12 seconds My Piko BR80 has been converted to DCC digital control using an ESU Lokpilot XL V3.0 chip. This chip includes a 'power buffer' which supplies power when the loco cannot obtain power from the track. The BR80 is now silkily smooth. Video duration: 29 seconds The placid brook through our garden had risen about 6 feet (1.8 metres) by the time of this video. In July it would go even higher in the worst floods in our part of the UK for 80 years. Fortunately the only damage was a soggy garden and a damaged bridge.
