I did some research when it was time to put my garden to bed for the winter. This is one way I found to prepare your raised beds for the winter.
I found this on Gary Pilarchik's YouTube channel, and thought I would share it with you here. Gary saus ... "You do the work now and come spring it is ready for planting. I prepare a lot of my vegetable garden beds this way. I turn the soil, add organic matter and cover it in black plastic (or weed block fabric)."
This stops weeds from growing and gives worms and microbes organic matter to break down over the late fall and winter.
